Our Business

Frank and Ed are brothers and Vivian is their sister. Business has always been a
family affair. Years ago, J & T Motor Co. employed their Mom and Dad, Gail and Frank
Johnson, their grandmother, Evelyn Farish, deceased, their uncle, Walter Johnson,
deceased and their brother-in-law, Jan Hoffman. Customized vans, under the JTM Vans
Logo, was the main focus in the early years. When Gail and Frank moved on to other
endeavors, Frank and Ed formed a Partnership as J & J Customs. Soon after, they
discovered Arctic Cat and ATVs became the mainstay. The Montgomery location was
quickly outgrown. The long anticipated location in Prattville, the Johnson's hometown,
was found. Prattville Outdoors was established and was pleased to add Billy Polk
to the family.

7 Year Update
|
We want to thank the citizens of Prattville and the surrounding River Region for
continuing their support. Our business has grown significantly over the past 7 years.
We have a team of experienced mechanics, including Mike Lewis and Justin Brasher,
who can service just about anything, from ATVs and UTVs to Lawn Mowers, both residential
and commercial. In addition to the Arctic Cat® line of ATVs, UTVs and Wildcat Side
X Side, we now stock Toro and Gravely Zero-Turn Lawn Mowers, residential and commercial.
We also stock Echo Power Equipment and Lone Wolf Utility Trailers.
Ed’s daughter, Beth, joined us part time last year. She is learning so many aspects
of the business and pitches in wherever she is needed. We wouldn’t know what to
do without her.
A couple of years ago we were approached by Brian Wilson of
RelyLocal.com.
After he explained how RelyLocal worked and what its goals were, we decided to
join. Brian is relentless in the pursuit of his goal to offer the consumer a one-stop
informative website for all of their shopping needs in our area. RelyLocal is made
up of small businesses in Prattville and surrounding communities. RelyLocal’s goal
is our goal. We want to serve the citizens of Prattville and the River Region. We
treat our customers like we would want to be treated, with quality merchandise,
fairly priced, and prompt, honest service. We are very proud of our return customers,
especially those who have become our new friends. That’s what it’s like to be a
small business in Prattville. We get to know our customers and treat them like they
were family.
